Visit Colleges
STEP 6
We teach you the value of visiting colleges early and often!
In a recent survey we
conducted among former college athletes, one of their main regrets was that
they didn't visit more colleges before deciding where to go. Don't make
the same mistake!
IN STEP 6, WE WILL TEACH YOU:
1. The difference between an official and unofficial visit.
2. What to do and see during a college visit to get the most out of it.
3. The questions to ask coaches, staff and players when you visit.
4. How to prepare for the interviews and the questions YOU will be asked.
5. How to check the colleges on your list for any NCAA infractions.
6. Why you should NEVER give a verbal commitment during a visit.
7. Why it is important to take notes on each trip.
Now, go to your Scholarship Workbook and let's get started with STEP 6. Track your progress on your "Checklist for
Success."

Taking Good Notes BEFORE and AFTER a Visit
Before a college visit, it is important to take notes on your contact information and travel details (lodging, directions etc.) After your visit, it is vital that you take the time to write down your feelings and impressions. You had a chance to get to know the coach and the team, explore the campus and the surrounding area, and check out the facilities and academics. Now, it is time to ask yourself a few questions.
